1. What is an expense reduction audit?
An expense reduction audit is a process that takes a look at every possible way to save your organization money on the cost of doing business. After completing the audit, we present the recommendations to you and allow you to choose which suggestions to utilize. We then assist in implementing the approved recommendations and share in the savings.
2. Can we do this ourselves?
Yes. While companies can perform their own expense reduction audits, they rarely have adequate time to. Most personnel with the appropriate training are busy solving "problems," and don't have time for such detailed work as bill auditing. The advantages of hiring ERE to do this for you are time, access to insider information that is not readily available, and the experience in watching your expenses and ensuring you are getting the best prices. In addition to having the time and knowledge, ERE will also continue to monitor your expenses moving forward - correcting billing errors for you as they arise. And since you pay only if we provide savings, our service is risk-free.
3. How much does an expense reduction audit cost?
ERE charges a one time initial set up fee of $750 per location regardless of how many expenses are being audited. In addition, ERE will be paid for services on a shared savings basis of 50% of the total monthly savings. In the event there are no past or future savings achieved, then there is no fee for our service and the $750 will be refunded back to client.
4. What happens if ERE can't save us money?
Occasionally we will run into a situation where our review will produce no savings. In the event that this happens we congratulate you on a job well done and refund your start-up fee.
5. Is the client obligated to implement the cost-savings measures recommended by ERE?
Our reputation depends on customer satisfaction. It is our commitment to review for ways to lower your monthly expenditure without affecting the quality of your service. The only recommendation you are required to implement is a simple price reduction. If the client believes any of the other cost-savings recommendations would not prove satisfactory to their service and does not wish to implement the recommendation, then there is no fee for these services.
6. What do we need to get started on our expense reduction audit?
ERE needs a signed agreement and a copy of your most recent month's invoices to complete our initial review. Upon examining your initial invoices, we will determine what materials you will need to provide in order for us to save you the most money possible.
7. How much time will we need to spend with Expense Reduction Experts?
Our goal is to keep the time invested on your part at a minimum. After we receive the signed agreement, the majority of time spent is on the client side in getting ERE the required information. This means someone on staff making copies of invoices and contracts as instructed. Once we collect all pertinent information, we may do an on/off site survey with key personnel and then we usually don't meet again until it is time to present our savings recommendations.
8. How much will we be saving?
ERE ‘s goal
is to save 20% to 50% on the expenses
being audited. Your company’s
savings may vary.
9. Do we have to meet in person to work with ERE?
It is not necessary to meet in person where it is impractical. ERE works with the majority of clients via telephone, fax, and email.
10. Does it matter where we are located?
No. In addition to our corporate office, our auditors have offices all over the country. We travel regularly to meet with existing and potential clients and accomplish much of our correspondence over the telephone and by email.
11. What if we have offices across the country?
ERE specializes in meeting the unique needs of multi-site locations, and this includes the coordination of meetings. We have the ability to work with all of your offices even if this includes multiple locations in multiple cities.
